At Meredith-Dunn School, we pride ourselves in supporting the development of the whole child – not just their academic growth, but also their emotional and social growth. Our curriculum is based on national standards and is aligned with that of local public and private schools. We also place a strong emphasis on student centered skills, problem solving skills, and critical thinking skills.
Students are grouped by grade level into small classes allowing for individualized instruction. We are proud to offer a schoolwide 7 to 1 student/teacher ratio. A strong emphasis is placed on language arts & math, and students are broken into even smaller groups during these class periods. As in every elementary school, students enjoy special area classes in art, music, library, technology, social skills and physical education. Each area of instruction is designed to reinforce learning and provide an opportunity for each child to showcase their strengths.
